Survey captures global picture of air pollutions effects on birds 08/15/2017 06:40 PM EDT The effects of air pollution on human health and ecosystems are well known, but little is known about how air pollution affects birds. In a paper published in the journal Environmental Research Letters, NSF-funded researchers sort through nearly 70 years of scientific literature to assess the state of knowledge about how air pollution directly affects the health, well-being, reproductive success and diversity of birds.
