Machine learning model provides rapid prediction of C. difficile infection risk 03/29/2018 11:51 AM EDT Researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital, the University of Michigan and Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed investigational "machine learning" models that can predict a patient's risk of contracting Clostridium difficile, an aggressive, gut-infecting bacteria much earlier than it would be diagnosed with current methods.
