#OpportunityTour: We’re On the Road

US Dept. of Education

Dear Friend --

In case you missed it, our annual bus tour kicked off in Washington, D.C. on Monday!

Over the past couple days the #OpportunityTour has made several stops in Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama. By the end of the week, we'll have visited 11 cities and covered more than 1,800 miles in order to highlight the positive changes and inspiring stories that have helped shape the field of education over the past 7 years.

Even if the #OpportunityTour is not visiting your town, we'd still love to hear your story. There's no doubt that education has impacted your life and changed your personal story, and we'd like to hear how. Tell us, what does opportunity mean to you?

Share the graphic below and tell us what opportunity means to you.

Although we have a lot of work left ahead of us as a nation, we would be remiss not to appreciate the changes that we've made to ensure more students have the opportunity to get a world-class education. We're proud of the great work that's been done so far -- and we know there's still more to come!

This is what the Opportunity Across America is all about.
