WEEKEND AURORA WATCH: High-latitude auroras are possible this weekend as Earth enters a high-speed stream of solar wind flowing from a hole in the sun's atmosphere. This is a broad stream, and its influence could persist for 2 or 3 days. Arctic observers are favored because only in the Arctic will the intensity of the auroras likely rival that of this weekend's full Moon. Visit Spaceweather.com for updates and more information.
