Michigan Tech Physicists Use Cloud Chamber to Better Understand the Atmosphere and Rain Droplets.

Turbulent Cloud Chamber

Atmospheric physicists at Michigan Tech use a turbulence-generating cloud chamber to better understand climate change through rain droplets as they form in clouds. The cloud chamber is different from any other in that the cloud inside is turbulent and researchers can keep a cloud for as long as they want to study it. This research was funded by the National Science Foundation through the Major Research Instrumentation program.
