He said the United States is engaged in a civilizational struggle against Islamists as well as their sympathizers in the government and media. Those recordings, preserved online, offer an often unfiltered window into the thinking of President Trump's interview-averse senior adviser, who has ascended in just months from relative obscurity to become one of Trump's most influential advisers on domestic and national security issues.
