| Health-Related Behaviors by Urban-Rural County Classification — United States, 2013 Kevin A. Matthews, MS; Janet B. Croft, PhD; Yong Liu, MD, MS; et al. MMWR Surveill Summ 2017;66:1–8
For this report, CDC analyzed data from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System to estimate the prevalence of five health-related behaviors by urban-rural status. The percentage of adults reporting at least four of the five behaviors (sufficient sleep, current nonsmoking, nondrinking or moderate drinking, maintaining normal body weight, and meeting aerobic leisure time physical activity recommendations) was lower in nonmetropolitan counties than in metropolitan counties. |
