Arkansas executed Marcel Williams, 46, by lethal injection late Monday night after a brief flurry of legal disputes. Williams and another man, Jack Harold Jones, 52, were put to death in Arkansas as part of the state's effort to carry out eight executions before the April 30 expiration of one its lethal injection drugs. Their deaths marked the nation's first-double execution since 2000, when Texas put condemned inmates to death on the same night.
