BREAKING: White House aide Steve Bannon removed from National Security Council in new order

  Steve Bannon, the chief strategist for President Trump, has been removed from the National Security Council's principals committee in a new presidential memorandum. A White House official said Wednesday that Bannon had been placed on the committee as a check on the previous national security adviser, Michael Flynn, who was fired by Trump in February.
