Coalition wants tech giants to let them break encryption

Among the stories leading our website this morning: the Coalition says it will change the law to force tech giants like Facebook, Google and Apple to break encryption to allow intelligence agencies to decrypt communications of terrorist groups on the internet. Attorney general George Brandis says the tech giants should be threatened with "legal sanction" if they do not cooperate.
