Ginger's revival pays tribute to SF's old gay bars
ESTHER MOBLEY: It all began in 1978, when Don Rogers opened a bar called Ginger's. The new Ginger's, open since May, attempts to reconcile with its history: Each of the menu's cocktails is named for a gay bar of the city's past.
