Myanmar bars UN human rights investigator
Myanmar has denied Yanghee Lee access to the country, saying her July end-of-mission statement was biased and unfair. Lee said the lack of cooperation points to "something terribly awful happening in Rakhine."

South Korea proposes war games delay ahead of 'peace Olympics'
The South Korean president has proposed a major delay to annual war games with the US to ease tensions on the Peninsula. Tensions have been high since North Korea stepped up its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
North Korea: US calls for blacklist on 10 ships violating sanctions
The US has identified 10 ships it says are violating international sanctions on North Korea. Earlier, the US and Canada said they would host a meeting of foreign ministers in January to show solidarity against Pyongyang.
US and UK blame North Korea for WannaCry cyberattack
The UK has joined the US in publicly blaming North Korea for the devastating WannaCry hacking attack earlier this year. The cyberattack took down computer systems in 150 countries and caused widespread chaos.
