Latest Update: The current forecast from Fiji's Meteorological Service has Tropical Cyclone Gita passing to the south of Fiji's main islands on 13 February. However, a tropical cyclone alert is in force for the Lao Group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands. Strong winds and heavy rain are expected. Monitor local media, including local radio broadcasts, for updates and follow the instructions of local authorities.
