BREAKING: Army says Brig. Gen. Ron Lewis' drunken escapades shouldn't affect his security clearance

  The Army is recommending that Brig. Gen. Ron Lewis keep his security clearance despite issuing him a scathing reprimand that questioned flaws in his character, his abuse of alcohol and the "significant discredit" that he brought to the service, according to Defense officials and documents obtained by USA TODAY. Lewis, the military adviser to former Defense secretary Ash Carter, cut a swath through sex clubs and bars on three continents, a Pentagon report showed.
