| Fifty years ago Martin Luther King, Eugene McCarthy and Muhammad Ali exhibited extraordinary acts of courage in resistance to the Vietnam War and the government waging it. What they did is especially resonant today, when those on the right fear the "deep state,'' those on the left worry about presidential overreach, and there's a lot of talk about what Bruce Springsteen calls "the new American resistance.''
