View in browser 2 March 2017 Employment and labour market Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings Pension Tables: 2016 Provisional and 2015 Revised Results Workplace pension scheme membership has increased to 68% in 2016, from 64% in 2015, driven by increases in membership of occupational defined contribution schemes. In 2016, 88% of employees in the public sector had a workplace pension compared with 60% of private sector employees; this gap has been narrowing since the introduction of automatic enrolment in 2012.
