Because Jupiter was opposite the sun April 7 - and closest April 8 - we've received some great photos of Jupiter and its 4 largest moons - Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.
Asteroid 2014 JO25 will pass safely at 4.6 times the moon's distance. It's 60 times the diameter of the asteroid that penetrated the atmosphere over Chelyabinsk, Russia in 2013.
Jupiter stays in any constellation of the zodiac for roughly a year. In 2017, it's Virgo's turn. Use the moon to find Jupiter over the next several nights, then use Jupiter to find Virgo.
