Prevent Cancer with HPV Vaccination!
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a very common virus. About 14 million people — including teens — are infected each year. These infections cause cancers in 31,500 people each year.

Protect your 11- or 12-year-old child with HPV vaccination
In most cases, HPV infections go away on their own and do not cause any health problems. But when an HPV infection does not go away, it can cause cancers of the:
•  cervix, vagina, and vulva
•  penis
•  anus
•  back of the throat
The good news: HPV is preventable. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends all boys and girls ages 11 and 12 receive two doses of the HPV vaccine. If your child is older and has not started or finished the HPV vaccines series yet, talk to their doctor as soon as possible.
