Athletic shoes should be tailored to your arch type (high arch, neutral arch, low arch). Not sure about your foot type? Dip your foot in water and then step on a piece of cardboard. Examine your footprint. If you see most of your footprint, you probably have a low arch. If you see very little of your footprint, you most likely have a high arch.
