Jones' victory signals a huge blow for President Trump and Republicans, who now hold a slimmer 51-49 Senate majority. The Alabama race - where a Republican win is normally a foregone conclusion - had also been seen as a referendum on Trump, who endorsed the Christian conservative despite the allegations against him.
