Highlights - 11th WTO Ministerial Conference and the Parliamentary Conference in Buenos Aires - Committee on International Trade 06-12-2017 01:56 PM CET The European Parliament delegation will be part of the EU delegation to the WTO Ministerial Conference in Buenos Aires from 10 to 13 December 2017, aiming at advancing the global trade agenda and strengthening a rules-based and fair multilateral trading system. The 14 MEPs will be led by INTA chair Bernd Lange. The European Parliament is also the co-organizer of the Parliamentary Conference on the WTO, which will bring together 300 members from several nations in the Congress of Argentina on 9 and 10 December, ahead of the Ministerial Conference. Panels will discuss the role and future of multilateralism, as well as crucial decisions linked to e-commerce. The session will be opened by Mairead McGuinness, First Vice President of the European Parliament.
