05-02-2018 02:13 PM CET The report on geo-blocking and other forms of discrimination based on customers' nationality, place of residence or of establishment, tabled by the Committee on Internal Market, will be discussed and voted by Parliament on 05-06.02.18. Amongst other things, the proposed regulation defines situations when there can be no justified reason for discrimination on grounds of nationality or residence, and bans the blocking of access to websites and the use of automatic re-routing without prior consent. The delegation will also look into initiatives to boost the market for accessible products and services, in the context of the on-going negotiations of the EU legislative proposal on accessibility of products and services in the internal market.
