How to catch a fish genome with big data

Researchers assembled and annotated genome of the Seriola dorsalis fish species, aka California Yellowtail. Z-W sex determination identified in Seriola dorsalis. XSEDE Extended Collaborative Support Services, Blacklight, and Stampede resources utilized in fish genome discovery. This research on California Yellowtail could potentially help in its sustainable aquaculture harvest.
