NLM Technical Bulletin, Jan-Feb 2018, NLM Classification 2018 Winter Edition Now Available

The 2018 Medical Subject Headings vocabulary was evaluated for inclusion in the Classification Index. Several additions and changes were made to the Index and Schedules based on this review. All main index headings are now linked to the 2018 vocabulary in the MeSH Browser. Additional minor updates were made to the Index and Schedules.

Corrected note:Two updated ICD-9-CM to SNOMED CT maps are available for download: The ICD-9-CM to SNOMED CT Diagnosis Map contains a translation of legacy ICD-9-CM data to the 2017 SNOMED CT US Edition to enable the comparison of newly collected SNOMED CT data with historic ICD-9-CM data and facilitate the transition to prospective use of SNOMED CT for patient problem lists. The updated ICD-9-CM Procedure Codes to SNOMED CT Map contains a translation of legacy ICD-9-CM procedure codes to the 2017 SNOMED CT US Edition. [Correction: This sentence was replaced on January 31, 2018.] To download the above releases, you must have agreed to the UMLS Metathesaurus License and have a UMLS Terminology Services login.
