NOC News Round Up - 26 May 2017

Please note that due to the pre-election period, all our digital channels will be quieter than normal over the coming weeks.

Liverpool Light Night

liverpool light night 2017

Big thanks to the 250 people who visited us in our NOC Liverpool office as part of the City's Light Night arts and cultural festival.

We unlocked our doors and invited people in to see specially created artworks and our incredible Tide and Time exhibition which includes two historical tidal prediction machines. It was a great way to celebrate not only the beauty of these important machines but also the significance of tidal science and the history of Liverpool as a port.

Congratulations to our partner ASV Global

ASV Global won business of the year 2017

We'd like to congratulate ASV Global on winning Hampshire County Council's Business of the Year Award. The Portchester-based developer of unmanned and autonomous vessel technology is a strategic partner in our Marine Robotics Innovation Centre.

ASV Global are part of our pioneering multi-partner project exploring around and up to the UK continental shelf using a fleet of innovative marine robots. With new Unmanned Surface Vehicles and submarine gliders, the multi-phase project has seen the largest single deployment of marine autonomous systems ever seen in the UK.
