In summary: the methodology used to weight the LFS helps maintain robust headline estimates our analysis of interview patterns over the last 15 years indicates little change in the range and coverage of households surveyed sampling variability, indicated by a confidence interval, for both the employment rate and unemployment rate have remained stable over the past 10 years and were plus or minus 0.4 percentage points and plus or minus 0.3 percentage points respectively in 2016 Monitoring the quality of Labour Force Survey results Our digital team regularly write about our approach and progress to the website and social media.
