Germany continues war of words with Turkey, reviews arms sales
Germany's finance minister Wolfgang Schäuble has fired a further salvo in the ongoing feud, comparing Turkey to Communist East Germany. Berlin also said that it would be reviewing future sales of arms to Turkey.
Palestinian protests over Jerusalem Temple Mount site turn deadly
Several Palestinians have been reported killed in protests in Jerusalem over restrictions at Haram al-Sharif, also known as Temple Mount. Israel caused outrage by installing metal detectors at the holy site.
Qatar changes anti-terror legislation amid Gulf crisis
Qatar's emir has changed the country's anti-terrorism laws in an apparent move to counter charges by its neighbors that it supports terrorism. Qatar has always denied the accusations.
Strong earthquake hits Greece, Turkey
At least two people were killed when a 6.7 magnitude quake struck the Greek island of Kos and Turkey's Aegean coast, sending tourists out to the streets. USGS put the epicenter near the Turkish resort of Bodrum.

Not unlike their counterparts with many "real" sports, eSports officials are involved in a growing battle against doping. However, it seems there is still a long way to go in this relatively new competitive activity.
