Computer scientists use music to track body movements

Researchers at the University of Washington have demonstrated that it is possible to transform a smart device into a tool that uses sonar to collect information about people's movements and activities near the device. By showing vulnerabilities of devices that can endanger people's privacy, this work can help lead to practical defenses.
