Our Greenhouse Gas Summer School students are at the end of their two week stay in Southampton and left on a high with a behind-the-scenes tour of the RRS Discovery. They've seen the sun shine over the stunning geology of Lulworth Cove and laughed through persistent rain as they sampled along the Beaulieu River (watch the video here!). Take a look at all their adventures on Twitter with #GHGSS17. This intensive two-week course was funded by the Natural Environment Research Council and provided advanced PhD students and post-doctoral researchers with a solid understanding of the role of key greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the Earth system and the processes that govern their dynamics in the atmosphere, ocean and biosphere. Thanks to the students and everyone who made the school such a success including our friends at the University of Southampton, Heathfield transmitting station and Beaulieu Estate. |
