Radar map peers beneath moon's surface

Southeastern Lunar highlands

Researchers from the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum have used the Greenbank and Arecibo Observatories, both supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), to peer beneath the moon's surface, revealing geologic features invisible to the naked eye.
