Achieving the American Dream

Our current uncompetitive corporate tax rate encourages U.S. firms to keep profits offshore. In 2016, a Federal corporate tax rate of 20 percent could have brought more than $140 billion in corporate profits back to America, according to an analysis by the Council of Economic Advisers. Those profits could have helped boost the incomes of U.S. households. President Donald J. Trump is committed to investing in American jobs and the Unified Framework for Fixing Our Broken Tax Code will end the "offshoring model" as companies will bring profits back and invest in American workers.

Achieving the American Dream
President Trump issued a Presidential Proclamation designating October 22nd through October 28, 2017 as National Minority Enterprise Development Week. Since our earliest days, hardworking entrepreneurs have driven our Nation's prosperity. During Minority Enterprise Development Week, we recognize the contributions that minority owned businesses make to our economy and our way of life, and we strive to ensure that small business owners have access to the resources they need to achieve the American Dream.

Additionally, the White House is hosting a tax reform town hall today in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, to discuss with hard working Americans how the Administration's tax reform policy prioritizes providing tax relief to middle-income families. Advisor Ivanka Trump and U.S. Treasurer Jovita Carranza will participate.
