Summary - An earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 8.0 occurred off the coast of north Alaska at 12:35 AM on 23 January 2018. A tsunami warning is in place for British Columbia, south and south east Alaska, the Alaskan peninsula and the Aleutian Islands; you should monitor local reports and follow any advice issued by the local authorities
