The draft report of Romana Tomc (EPP, SI) on 'The implementation of the Youth Employment Initiative in the Member States' had been adopted in EMPL Committee in December 2017. The rapporteur noted that, thanks to the YEI, youth unemployment has become a shared EU policy priority although, in a number of Member States, tackling youth unemployment remains a great challenge. The plenary vote will now take place on 18 January.
