Missions - TERR Mission to Berlin - 15-02-2018 - Special Committee on Terrorism 19-02-2018 05:10 PM CET On 15-16 February 2018, a delegation from the Special Committee on Terrorism (TERR) went on a mission to Berlin. During their mission, TERR Members met with Minister Dr. Thomas de Maizière, Federal Ministry of Interior, Dr. Emily Haber, State Secretary of the Ministry of Interior. They discussed with Dr. Hans-Georg Maaßen, President of the Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz (domestic intelligence service), Mr Holger Münch, President of the Bundeskriminalamt (Federal Criminal Police) and ​Dr Peter Frank, the Federal Public Prosecutor General of Germany at GTAZ (Joint Counter-Terrorism Centre). Members have also met a representation of NGOs on prevention of radicalisation, Mr Torsten Akmann, State Secretary of the Interior for the Senate Administration of Interior and Sport of the State of Berlin, Mr Klaus Kandt, President of the Berlin Police. The mission ended with a meeting with Senator Andreas Geisel, Senate Administration of Interior and Sport of the state of Berlin.
