Further information Text of the Report Source : © European Union, 2018 - EP 09-03-2018 01:18 PM CET Members in March plenary session will adopt a joint own-initiative report by the Committee on International Trade (INTA) and the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM) on "Gender equality in EU trade agreements". EU trade and investment agreements are not gender neutral and have different impact on women and men due to structural inequalities. This report calls for the collection of gender-dis aggregated data and the inclusion of the country-specific and sector-specific gender analysis in ex-ante and ex-post impact assessments of EU trade policy and agreements, better support to women-led micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises and the better use of trade and sustainable development chapters to promote and uphold gender equality.
