SME Initiative News 9 March 2018
Industry Space Days 2018: registration is now openTake part in the seventh edition of ESA's Industry Space Days on 11 - 12 September 2018 at ESTEC (Noordwijk, The Netherlands) and register now for Europe's largest space innovation B2B meeting event (free of charge). The ISD is an opportunity for companies, especially SMEs, to introduce themselves to the wider space community and present their products, services and R&D during pre-arranged business-to-business meetings. SMEs and other entities are also invited to reserve a booth at the technical exhibition (EUR 690 excl. VAT) to increase their visibility and meet B2B partners at their stands. Early registration is recommended as exhibition space is limited.
European Commission: public consultation on review of SME definition The European Commission invites all citizens and organisations to contribute to the consultation on the review of the SME definition. The definition as provided in Recommendation 2003/361/EC is used by ESA to determine the SME status of a company and thus the eligibility of entities wishing to benefit from the Agency's SME support measures. Contributions to the consultation process are particularly sought from, amongst others, business associations and enterprises, including SMEs. Instructions on how to submit responses are available on the European Commission website.
Meet the SME Office at the Berlin Air Show The SME Office will be present at the Berlin Air Show on 25 and 26 April 2018 to meet interested SMEs during B2B meetings. To make an appointment, please send an email to: sme-office@esa.int, mentioning your name, company affiliation and preferred meeting time/date. A list of open meeting slots is available at: https://doodle.com/poll/
