1 charge dropped in 49er Reuben Foster's domestic violence case

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster had a misdemeanor ammunition charge dropped Monday morning in a Santa Clara County courtroom, where prosecutors requested more time to review newly provided video evidence in the case of the player accused of felony domestic violence. The 24-year-old linebacker is facing multiple felony charges, including inflicting great bodily injury, forcefully attempting to prevent a victim from reporting a crime and possessing an assault weapon, in connection with an incident Feb. 11 involving his girlfriend. The case has been complicated by the alleged victim recanting her statement that Foster punched her in the head multiple times, resulting in a punctured ear drum.
