Highlights - Hearing of candidates for the post of Director of OLAF - Committee on Budgetary Control 11-04-2018 10:38 AM CEST In accordance with Article 12(2) of the OLAF Regulation (Regulation 883/2013) CONT committee will hear the four candidates shortlisted by the Commission for the post of Director of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) in a public meeting on 16.04.2018. The shortlisted candidates are (in alphabetical order): Ville Itälä, Ivailo Kalfin, François Kruger and Andreas Mlitzke. Following the hearings, CONT will evaluate the candidates in camera and, following a vote by secret ballot, establish its ranking of the candidates. Afterwards, a High Level Group representing Parliament, Commission and Council will discuss the appointment. Parliament's delegation will comprise the CONT Bureau (Chairman and Vice-Chairmen) and the rapporteur. Further information Meeting documents Webstreaming Source : © European Union, 2018 - EP Highlights - Adoption of motion for a resolution on Integrity policy of the Commission - Committee on Budgetary Control 11-04-2018 10:38 AM CEST As a follow-up to the plenary debate of 12.03.2018, at its meeting on 15.03.2018, the Conference of Presidents mandated CONT committee to consider the appointment of the Secretary-General of the European Commission in the framework of the integrity policy of the European Commission, in view of tabling of a motion for resolution to be voted at the EP's part-time session in April 2018. In this framework, CONT Members addressed a questionnaire to the Commission and a hearing with Commissioner Oettinger was held on 27.03.2018, followed-up by a second questionnaire. Members tabled 129 amendments to the draft motion for resolution. CONT will adopt the motion for a resolution on 16.04.2018.
