Highlights - Circular economy package - Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety 17-04-2018 05:20 PM CEST On 18th April, the EP will vote on the so-called Waste Package. The four proposed Directives, that are the result of complex interinstitutional negotiations with the Council, amend the directives on Waste, Packaging and Packaging Waste, Landfill and End of Life vehicles/Batteries and Waste electrical and electronic equipment. New targets for reuse and recycling and limits in landfill are set and should be applied from 2025. For the first time also indicative targets for Food waste are set.
