The Committee on Development will meet next in room Paul Henri Spaak 4B001 on Monday, 23 April and Tuesday, 24 March. On Monday, MEPs will debate forest management, humanitarian financing and EU Trust Funds. DEVE Members will also discuss conclusions from fact finding missions to the Central African Republic and to Senegal.

On Tuesday, committee members will vote on the revised Union Civil Protection Mechanism, the upcoming negotiations on a renewed partnership with African Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries, rights of indigenous peoples, and European agriculture. Jointly with the trade committee Members will enquire about follow-up to the EU flagship initiative for the garment sector.

The committee will also exchange with the new Ambassador of the African Union on AU reform. They will then hear on the situation in Eastern Congo's Virunga National Park, discuss post-conflict development needs in Iraq and get an update on the implementation of the EU's External Investment Plan.
