Following an in camera evaluation, the committee established an internal ranking of the candidates by secret ballot in two rounds. The outcome of the votes was the following: First round Ville Itälä 22 votes Ivailo Kalfin 21 votes Francois Kruger 19 votes Andreas Mlitzke 10 votes Second round Ville Itälä 13 votes Ivailo Kalfin 11 votes Subsequently, a High Level Group representing Parliament, Commission and Council will discuss the appointment. Parliament's delegation will comprise the CONT Bureau (Chairman and Vice-Chairmen) and the rapporteur.
