BREAKING: Trump cautions against 'hasty withdrawal' in Afghanistan, but won't discuss troop deployments

  President Trump, admitting his original instinct was to pull out of Afghanistan, warned against a quick withdrawal from the country that could leave a power vacuum. Still, the president said he would not televise specific numbers of troops or plans for further military activities. "Conditions on the ground, not arbitrary timetables, will guide our strategies from now on. I will not say when we are going to attack, but attack we will," he said.
