The Cabinet Office, MEXT, METI and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) are hosting "I-ISEF (ISEF for Industry)" mainly for industrial areas on March 2nd, 2018, at The Westin Tokyo (Meguro-ku, Tokyo), the day before the second International Space Exploration Forum (ISEF2)*1 on March 3rd, 2018.
The purpose of the I-ISEF is to (a) gather international momentum to encourage space exploration activities and (b) open up space business opportunities to promote entries from outside the industry across different types of backgrounds. The I-ISEF program is designed to discuss the socio-economic significance, values, requirements, or the outlook of space exploration activities from various viewpoints.
For the I-ISEF, we have organized exhibition booths of companies and organizations, and also have activities for different companies to collaborate and engage in the present and future pursuit of the space business and evolving space exploration topics. We would like companies and organizations to check the information below and sign up for the exhibition.
*1 ISEF2 will bring together ministers and high-level officials at the international conference to discuss and share the importance of space exploration and global collaboration aiming to cultivate sustainable growth developments.

Newly discovered volcanic rock minerals may offer new insights into earth's evolution

Scientists have found evidence showing that komatiites, or three-billion-year old volcanic rock found within the Earth's mantle, had a different composition than modern ones. Their discovery may offer new information about the first one billion years of Earth's development and early origins of life.
