First supermoon of 2017 today
Today's moon is a new moon and not visible. It crosses the sky with the sun during the day. This photo shows an extremely thin young moon, caught March 28, 2017 by Eliot Herman in Tucson. Look for the young moon to set just behind the sun later this week.
