The Senate approved a bipartisan compromise today to fund federal agencies through September and end the threat of a government shutdown at midnight tomorrow. The government funding bill was approved by the House yesterday despite opposition from more than 100 Republicans. The vote ends more than two weeks of drama as Congress scrambled to negotiate divisive issues ranging from Trump's proposed border wall to Planned Parenthood funding.
