Syndromic surveillance summary

Week 45, 06 November to 13 November 2017 National Syndromic Surveillance Summary: During week 45 there were further small increases in bronchitis/ bronchiolitis consultations (ED and GP OOH) and difficulty breathing calls (NHS 111) in infants aged <1 year, in line with recent increases in laboratory reports for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Of note this week: Chart showing ED bronchitis/ bronchiolitis attendances (7 day moving average presented as a proportion of the attendances within each age group) (England and Northern Ireland).
