The San Rafael animal rescue organization and wildlife hospital gets calls at all hours of the day from Bay Area residents who find a trapped or injured animal and don't know what to do. "More than 90 percent of our patients arrive at the wildlife hospital because of some negative interaction with humans, our pets, our houses and cars, or our trash," Hermance explained. WildCare medical staff gave the turkey vulture oxygen, heat, fluids, and antidotes for potential poisoning.
