Highlights - BUDG to vote on two key reports setting out its post-2020 outlook for EU budget - Committee on Budgets

On 21 February, the co-rapporteurs will present draft compromises amendments on two reports in the framework of the EU's next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF): "Preparing the Parliament's position on the MFF post-2020" and "The Reform of the EU system of Own-Resources". The aim of these two key reports is to present the Parliament's views on the building blocks of the next MFF and to put forward recommendations on the revenue side of the EU budget,

ahead of the Commission proposal for the next MFF expected in May this year and also in view of the discussion on the next MFF on the European Council's 23 February meeting agenda.

The vote in committee on both reports will take place the following day, on 22 February. In total, there are 683 amendments and 13 opinions on the MFF report, and 171 amendments and 6 opinions on the Own resources report. The vote in plenary will follow during the 12-15 March session.
