MEPs are proposing ways to cut off sources of terrorism financing. They are calling on EU countries to more actively share financial intelligence and track transactions more closely.
At their next Committee meeting of 9 April 2018, TERR Members will follow a debate regarding the new challenges in the fight against terrorism with Mr Jean-Charles Brisard, from the French Centre for the Analysis of Terrorism (CAT).

Subsequently, their discussion with Mr Raphaël Malagnini from the Belgian Prosecutor's Office will focus on the judicial cooperation in the fight against terrorism financing. The committee meeting will end with an exchange of views with Commissioner Pierre Moscovici on the EU actions in his remit aimed at preventing terrorism financing: EU customs plan, cash controls, illegal trafficking of cultural goods and VAT fraud.
