Yellow warning for Northern Ireland Rain Between 09:00 Mon 2 Apr and 09:00 Tue 3 Apr Headline Widespread rain and some hill snow is expected. Rain possibly heavy in the east. Travel may be affected. What to expect There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings There is a chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures What should I do? Issued: Fri 30 Mar 11:51 Further details An area of heavy rain is likely to move north into Northern Ireland on Monday and become slow-moving and last into the early part of Tuesday. 15-25 mm of rain is likely widely, with locally 40-60 mm possible in the east. In addition, several cms of snow could accumulate over higher routes. It is possible that some wet snow may fall to lower levels for a time, although it is unlikely to accumulate.
